From the beginning, I signed Legacy because they were highly responsive, modern, transparent, and logical. This remained true throughout the course of the project, and I’m extremely glad that I chose them. Some general said “a battle plan rarely survives first contact with the enemy”. Mike Tyson said “everybody has a plan til they get punched in the mouth”. The estimate was detailed and reasonable, but when they opened up my old house and found some unexpected conditions - THAT’S when Legacy really proved their worth, by being up-front and transparent, bringing in the right skilled trades to suggest options, and then allowing me to make informed decisions, and charging me a very fair price for the changes. Thanks to Diane’s frequent and clear updates, I always felt in control of my budget, never rushed or railroaded. Thanks to Gary’s patience, experience, and clear communication, I actually learned quite a lot and fully understood the choices I was making with respect to short-term value, safety, and long-term investment in my home. From beginning to end, I had a fantastic experience, and I plan to use them on any (and every) future project!

It went great! We've used Legacy for several mid-sized projects and are looking to hire them for a few more. This time around they replaced three old mechanical windows, identified where the leaks and draft were coming from, and got everything sorted. They provided a good recommendation on the type of windows that work for us, and the crew was swift and efficient.

Water Damage Restoration

I had a tree fall on my house back in June 2020 which caused major damage to the back of my home. I called several contractor's but I wasn't pleased with their assessment. I then came across Legacy Construction and they were great from the start. I spoke to Mrs. Diane on the phone and she was great, she gathered a lot of information from me and told me that I was in good hands and informed me that Gary the project manager will be contacting me shortly. After speaking to Gary he explained to me the first thing that needed to be done is the property needed to be tarped asap because the home is being exposed to water which is causing further damage and causing mold to building up because water has been coming into the property for almost two months. Gary informed me step by step room by room what damages the tree caused and how he was going to fix the water damages and the damages done to the frame of the home. After speaking to Gary I was sold and stopped looking for a contractor to fix my house. I would definitely recommend Legacy Construction to anybody that needs work done to their home. Their customer service and workmanship is great I would highly recommend.

Gary and the team from Legacy Construction did an excellent job on a challenging project. The project consisted of a repair to the main joists and header supporting the stairs and bathroom and a full remodel of the bathroom above. They were prompt, efficient, professional, communicative and fairly priced. I would definitely consider Legacy again for future projects.

Gary and Justin were extremely responsive, courteous, and professional. They did high quality work in repairing an unusual problem that other contractors were not eager to perform. Gary was very helpful in suggesting various options to allow future cleaning of the drier vent and ducts, and updated the project estimates so that I would know the cost of each option. The cost was higher than other estimates, but the quality of their work and the customer service was definitely worth the price. I would highly recommend them and would work with them in the future.

Decks

Slight delay but that was due to the difficulty in getting the materials, not the fault of the contractor. When everything was finally available, they were able to finish the job in one day. They were very good at getting things done and left the sight very clean, taking away all the trash so I didn’t have to be bothered with it.

Description of Work: My wooden porch tongue and groove decking started to buckle due to rain and snow. I decided to get a replacement of composite material, I contacted a few contractors, but wasn’t completely happy with their response. Then I heard from Legacy Constrution, they were a great choice for the job, polite, timely, and came up with a quote that I was satisfied with.

Gary and team were were detailed and professional. We have 100-year old stone home, so a few unexpected things came up during the project pushing out the completion and an increase in price, but all within reason and all thoroughly explained throughout the process.

Working with Legacy Construction was a phenomenal experience. They were able to provide me an estimate based on photos of the problem areas, and got me onto their schedule quickly. When the crew came out, they were extremely professional, courteous, and did an all around excellent job. While they were on site, I asked if they could hang some shelves in a tricky spot, and they were able to accommodate with a very slight change to the work order. All aspects of the work turned out beautifully. They even called the next day to ensure we were completely satisfied with the completed project, and that the exterior door had no additional problems sticking or latching. They will be first on my list to call when I need more work done, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to any of my neighbors.

Legacy was competivly priced. Very professional in all aspects of business. They worked on my my dads house to get it on the market. They removed all carpets, painted and did some minor carpentry. With their professionalism and quality of work I will look to hire them again for some work to be done at my own house.

We have a small sink in the island of our kitchen that was falling. We hired Legacy to reattach it to the granite. Initially it was hard getting our schedules in line but I'm glad I persisted. Gary did an amazing job. He came up with a unique idea that reattached the sink without having to drill into our granite. He was quick, very professional and reasonably priced. I would highly recommend calling them. I know I will be calling him again.

They did an excellent job. Everyone we spoke with from the company was professional, helpful, friendly and courteous. It was a pleasure working with them.

Description of Work: They repaired the garage door frame. They removed a section of the wood that had termite damage. They had to remove a section of the cement wall to gain access to the damaged wood. They replaced the wood with a 4x6 PT wood and recemented the section that was removed. They caulked and painted with primer. They cleaned the work site. They did an excellent job. Everyone we spoke with from the company was professional, helpful, friendly and courteous.

We have an old house and a number of other issues were discovered. Gary explained what those issues were - showed pictures and allowed for questions before he did any work. We were extremely happy with Legacy and would recommend them to anyone. They approached our home and my family with care and professionalism.

Gary and Justin were a pleasure to work with. Justin was responsive from my very first inquiry and Gary followed up to answer all of my questions. They were able to provide a pre-estimate before coming to do the in person estimate at my home. Not only were they able to give me the estimate on the spot, they were able to complete the work the same day. I wasn't here to catch the other gentleman's name that was working with them today, however based on my mother's feedback he was absolutely amazing as well. Great crew! My house was left cleaner than before they came. I would hire them again in a heartbeat.

Bathroom is beautiful. Due to unexpected circumstance the company was short staffed which impacted on prompt arrivals as scheduled. It is recommended that each job has some level of unexpected work that may be needed once the demolition is on its way,and clear communication regarding any change in blling should be discussed, agreed and documented as company gets focused on ensuring all glitches are handled on the spot. Company is very committed to ensure all problems are addressed immediately. They were even willing to come on days that were not normal work days to address unexpected situations . I cannot say enough good things about them. on time, did great work, friendly, helpful to me (if they saw me struggling with something ( I am 77) they would run over and help me. So nice, certainly know what they are doing but so kind and courteous.

The project required extensive plumbing once they removed my utility sink and washer and dryer and they quickly handled this additional work without raking me over the coals with a huge change order. We also had extensive water damage to our flooring and they quickly repaired the damage. The project was done on time, on budget and the end result was perfect. Gary and his team are wonderful! He's one of our good contractors that always stops by our store to purchase items and show his clients around. He's very experienced with tiles and installation when it comes to remodeling anything. We know this because whenever he would bring his clients in our store, he already knows how to match wall tile to floor tiles and doesn't need much help from us. He's good with the eyes when it comes to colors. If you want a blue bathroom, beachy bathroom, or even a two toned bathroom, Gary will help you guide your way through colors. So you basically have an all in one great package ! He has beautiful remodeling pictures he had done over the years, so be sure to ask him for it! Thanks for everything Gary.

I am writing this review about the great customer service I received today. I was in a bind, due to the fact that I had to have some work done by tomorrow. I posted my ad, and Gary called me, and helped me out with such a genuine, caring way. Gary said he would make sure he or one of his guy's would be at my house today. Gary came, and did the work himself. He was so happy, and polite. When Gary was finished he cleaned up, and took the material he removed and cut it up and hauled it to the dump. Very professional. I would definitely recommended this company if you need anything done in your home.
